Dive Into the Future with the
AI Consortium

The Queensland AI Consortium is a collaboration of technology-focused organizations that manage the Queensland AI Hub, an initiative aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and capability development across the state. The consortium comprises several key partners.

In 2020 the AI Consortium was successfully awarded the management of the Queensland AI Hub, part of the Queensland Government’s $755 million Advance Queensland project. The consortium collaborated with founding partners the University of Queensland (UQ), Queensland University of Technology (QUT), KJR, IntelliHQ, Max Kelson (exited to Bain Consulting in 2023) and KPMG on projects that built Queensland’s AI industry to be innovative, sustainable and globally competitive.

Over the past 5 years the AI Consortium has been instrumental in building AI capabilities for startups, SMEs, Indigenous businesses, corporates and executives.

In 2022 the Board appointed Mrs Toni Peggrem as the CEO of the Queensland AI Hub. Toni leads the Board’s vision to deliver collaborative projects that help build a robust AI ecosystem in Queensland.

Toni regularly provides extensive consultation to government and representative bodies and contributes to the AI discussion more broadly on the topics of workforce and skills shortage. Passionate about making AI accessible to all, Toni is a committee member for the Framework for AI-enabled Assistive Technology and a sought-out keynote speaker and panel member, having presented at a number of conferences and events.
